Field Service Engineer & AV Technician (IT & Audio‑Visual Support)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Field Service Engineer who will also act as an Audio‑Visual (AV) Technician. The role combines end‑user computing support with the setup, maintenance and troubleshooting of AV equipment across meeting rooms and live events.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line and second‑line IT support, including installation, configuration and maintenance of laptops, desktops and mobile devices.
• Perform device imaging, re‑imaging and deployments, and manage user accounts in Active Directory.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications, enforce compliance via Intune/SCCM, and log incidents in a ticketing system.
• Set up, configure and operate AV equipment such as projectors, microphones, sound systems and video‑conferencing tools.
• Conduct routine maintenance, health checks and troubleshooting of AV systems in boardrooms and event spaces.
• Manage cabling, connectivity and AV configurations, and maintain documentation of setups and issues.
• Assist with onboarding and off‑boarding of users, ensuring proper device provisioning and access control.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent; IT‑related diploma or degree is advantageous.
• 1–3 years of experience in IT support and/or AV environments.
• Relevant IT or AV certification is a plus.
• Strong communication and customer‑service orientation, with the ability to work under pressure during live events.
