Field Sales Account Executive – Garden Route

About the role

As a Field Sales Account Executive you will be the face of Yoco in the Garden Route region, meeting merchants on their premises, understanding their operations and demonstrating how Yoco’s payment and business tools can simplify and accelerate their work. This is a new‑business, field‑based role that blends consultative selling with genuine curiosity about people and their businesses.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, qualify and close new merchant opportunities within the assigned territory.
• Build and manage your own pipeline through outbound prospecting, referrals and partnerships.
• Conduct discovery conversations to uncover operational pain points.
• Design and propose tailored solutions that fit each business’s unique workflow.
• Develop trusted relationships with owners, operations leads and decision‑makers.
• Deliver confident, compelling product demos and ensure accurate CRM data, forecasting and pipeline hygiene.
• Hand over successful activations to onboarding for a first‑time‑right experience.
• Provide market and competitor insights to the broader team.

Required profile

• Experience managing operations in sectors Yoco serves (e.g., restaurants, cafés, salons, retail stores).
• Deep understanding of the challenges faced by small‑business owners.
• Strong curiosity, communication skills and ability to build relationships.
• Motivation to prospect and generate new business rather than waiting for inbound leads.
