Fiduciary Specialist Assistant

About the role

The Fiduciary Specialist Assistant provides high‑quality administrative, operational and sales support to the Fiduciary Specialist team, ensuring efficient client process management, accurate data handling and timely follow‑ups. The role enhances client experience, supports revenue retention and maintains compliance with legislative and internal governance requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver proactive client service and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external clients.
• Prepare documents, capture data, track cases and manage the team’s diary to ensure timely follow‑ups.
• Proactively obtain outstanding client documentation and support onboarding and maintenance of fiduciary services.
• Assist Fiduciary Specialists with sales activities, including preparation of proposals, reports and other client‑facing documentation.
• Monitor revenue and costs, helping achieve targeted cost‑to‑income ratios and adhere to financial standards.
• Support compliance with SARS requirements, tax documentation, trust documentation filing and Master of the High Court processes.
• Apply knowledge of FAIS, FICA and the Trust Property Control Act to meet statutory and internal governance standards.
• Contribute to a high‑performance team culture, participate in learning initiatives and support employment equity objectives.

Required profile

• Relevant qualification in Finance, Investment Management, Law or Commerce (Diploma or Degree preferred).
• Minimum 3 years experience in fiduciary services, trust administration, wealth or financial services administrative support.
• Experience servicing clients in a regulated environment.
• Basic understanding of trust structures and related regulatory frameworks.
