Fiberline Operator

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Fiberline Operator to run and monitor our fiberline production equipment at our eThekwini West facility. The role focuses on safe, efficient operation to meet quality, safety and production targets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform start‑up, run and shutdown procedures following work instructions.
• Carry out pre‑operational checks on equipment, raw materials and safety devices, including emergency stops.
• Load raw polymer material according to feeding procedures and monitor extrusion to ensure consistent fibre output.
• Operate the baler, pack bales to maximum load, and record batch data in the AX system.
• Identify and remove wraps on the godet, detect faults in the baler and report abnormalities.
• Conduct routine cleaning, basic maintenance and regular quality inspections.
• Operate a forklift safely to move raw materials and finished bales.
• Report unsafe conditions and participate in safety drills while wearing required PPE.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) certificate.
• Valid forklift licence or certification.
• 1–2 years experience in a manufacturing, extrusion or fibreline environment.
• Experience with non‑woven machinery, balers and polymer handling is advantageous.
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures accurately.
