External Sales Executive – Southern Africa (Mining/Construction)

About the role

Skye Personnel is seeking an experienced External Sales Executive to drive sales of lifting and hoisting equipment across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. The role focuses on the mining and construction sectors, requiring frequent travel and strong customer relationship skills.

Key responsibilities

• Promote and sell lifting equipment and related services to customers in the SADC region.
• Conduct customer visits, build relationships, and develop new business opportunities.
• Prepare sales reports, gather market intelligence, and analyse customer data to shape sales strategies.
• Perform bi‑annual stock takes and manage warranty procedures.
• Deliver product demonstrations and convert quotations into orders.
• Achieve defined sales targets and support regional growth.

Required profile

• Matric qualification; technical qualification (e.g., Millwright, Electrician, Fitter) preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of external sales experience in the mining or construction industry.
• At least 3 years of export sales experience within the SADC region, with proven travel across Southern Africa.
• Own car, valid passport, and willingness to travel extensively.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with ERP systems such as NAV, Syspro, or SAP.
