External Sales Consultant (FAIS) - Vredenburg

About the role

Absa is hiring an External Sales Consultant (FAIS) in Vredenburg. The consultant drives sales growth (volume and value) and service delivery competitiveness by owning their performance targets for the allocated portfolio of external sales activities, supporting collaboration between relationship banking, business bank and corporate bank, and building networks and relationships that generate leads and raise Absa's visibility across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver all individual performance targets for the allocated portfolio of external sales activities, including Inclusive Banking, Entry Level and Bulk Acquisition Sales in the B2C environment
• Plan and run education on Absa's value proposition to customers, and identify opportunities to represent Absa at workplace banking schemes, public forums, major events and festivals
• Convert assigned leads, prospect future clients and turn leads into business opportunities
• Drive scheme penetration for EVP schemes and take accountability for end-to-end sales execution within prescribed standards
• Identify and pursue cross-sell opportunities with colleagues across branches, business units and regions
• Engage existing clients on new products, services and migration strategies, and resolve client queries and complaints with a focus on first-point-of-contact resolution
• Contribute to customer experience scores, aiming for more than 92%
• Follow External Sales disciplines and New Ways of Work, including daily sales planning, time management and campaign management
• Adhere to all regulatory, compliance and risk requirements, avoid mis-selling, and keep up to date with regulatory changes
• Prepare accurate sales and service reporting and migration planning

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Banking
• Ability to work in the West Coast region, which includes the branches of Langebaan, Saldanha, Vredenburg, Vredendal and Velddrift
