External Sales Consultant (FAIS)

About the role

Absa is hiring an External Sales Consultant (FAIS) in Cape Town. The consultant drives sales growth (volume and value) and service delivery competitiveness by owning their performance targets for an allocated portfolio of external sales activities, supporting collaboration between relationship banking, business bank and corporate bank, and building networks and relationships that generate leads and raise Absa's visibility across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Own and deliver individual performance targets for Inclusive Banking, Entry Level and Bulk Acquisition sales in the B2C environment, and drive scheme penetration for EVP schemes
• Plan and run education on Absa's value proposition to customers, and identify and prospect future clients, turning leads into business
• Manage assigned leads, convert them, and give feedback to product and performance teams on initiative mechanics and client feedback
• Engage existing clients on new products, services and migration strategies, and resolve client queries and complaints with a focus on first-point-of-contact resolution
• Contribute to customer experience scores (target above 92%) and act as a brand ambassador in all client and business activities
• Support the External Sales team and region, share best practices, and help peers meet team performance targets
• Follow External Sales disciplines and New Ways of Work, with higher emphasis on New to Bank and New to Transact acquisition
• Manage campaign execution, daily sales planning, time management and resource use, including E2E mobility devices and marketing collateral
• Adhere to all regulatory, compliance and risk requirements, avoid mis-selling, and keep up with regulatory changes
• Prepare accurate sales, service and migration reporting

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Banking
• Ability to work independently and build networks in the assigned area
