Event Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading listed REIT, is looking for an experienced Event Manager to lead the planning and execution of internal and external events in Cape Town. You will create memorable experiences that reinforce the brand while managing all logistical, operational, and creative aspects.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and arrange internal and client events, sourcing venues, catering, logistics, concepts and gifts.
• Manage the events mailbox, track RSVPs and ensure clear communication throughout planning and execution.
• Source and provide promotional items and corporate gifts aligned with brand and budget.
• Prepare and monitor individual event budgets, process invoices and contribute to the annual marketing budget.
• Liaise with suppliers, vendors, venues and hotels, handling any on‑the‑day issues or delays.
• Research new venues and event trends, contributing ideas to the overall marketing strategy.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, PR, Business Administration, Advertising, Communications or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of event management experience, including large events with 300+ attendees.
• Proven experience managing international and local travel arrangements.
• Strong knowledge of event industry trends, marketing and branding, health & safety and technology considerations.
• Willingness to travel as required.
