Event Executive

About the role

The Event Executive will own the end‑to‑end delivery of Zoho’s regional events portfolio for the MEA region, focusing on Southern Africa. Based in Johannesburg, you will coordinate conferences, roadshows, executive round‑tables, customer meet‑ups, partner events, trade shows and flagship gatherings such as Zoholics.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute physical, virtual and hybrid events across Southern Africa, handling venue sourcing, logistics, registrations, travel, catering, branding and on‑site management.
• Manage event timelines, budgets, vendor contracts and operational deliverables while ensuring consistent brand representation.
• Develop and run promotion campaigns in partnership with regional marketing, including email, social media, paid ads and partner outreach.
• Build and maintain relationships with event agencies, production partners, venues, suppliers and media partners; negotiate pricing and monitor performance.
• Lead on‑site execution, overseeing speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, registration desks and attendee experience, troubleshooting issues in real time.
• Track event KPIs, prepare post‑event reports, gather feedback and recommend improvements for future events.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in event planning, coordination or a related field.
• Strong organisational, stakeholder‑management and communication abilities.
• Proven capability to manage budgets, timelines and vendor relationships.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on delivering seamless event experiences.
