Estimator & Construction Project Lead

About the role

MilleNext Group is looking for an experienced Estimator & Construction Project Lead to manage the estimating and bid development process for telecom and fiber‑optic construction projects across the US and Africa. The role combines cost estimation, bid management, and project pipeline oversight to ensure competitive and accurate proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quantity takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors and indirect costs.
• Analyze project plans, technical specifications, geotechnical reports and regulatory requirements to develop realistic budgets and schedules.
• Lead the full bid lifecycle from RFP review to final proposal submission, coordinating internal reviews and ensuring compliance.
• Identify commercial and operational risks in contract terms and scope documents.
• Solicit, evaluate and manage vendor and subcontractor quotations, maintaining strong relationships.

Required profile

• Proven experience in construction cost estimation, preferably in telecommunications or fiber‑optic projects.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Detail‑oriented and capable of managing multiple bids simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross‑functional teamwork.
