Equity Analyst – Investment Research

About the role

The Equity Analyst supports portfolio managers by evaluating listed companies, assessing market opportunities and developing high‑conviction investment ideas across sectors and geographies. The role focuses on company valuations, fundamental analysis and market research for local investment portfolios.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed fundamental research, analyse financial statements, management quality and industry trends, and build valuation models (comparable company and precedent transaction).
• Evaluate macro‑economic trends, identify undervalued equities and produce evidence‑based investment recommendations.
• Analyse market movements, sector rotation and performance drivers, and collaborate with portfolio managers on strategy and asset allocation.
• Prepare investment research reports, presentations and quarterly performance commentary for internal and client use.
• Liaise with external research providers, brokers and analysts, and participate in earnings calls, management meetings and site visits.
• Stay current with financial regulations, accounting standards and market developments, and support continuous improvement of research processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Investment Management, Economics or Accounting.
• 3–5 years of experience in investment research, financial analysis or a related field.
• Progress toward or completion of CFA Level I–III (advantageous).

Required skills

• Equity valuation techniques and financial modelling.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with Bloomberg, Refinitiv or Capital IQ (advantageous).
