Entry-Level Telesales Representative – Retail & E‑Commerce

About the role

We are seeking a motivated, customer‑focused Telesales Representative to join our growing retail and e‑commerce team. This entry‑level position offers the chance to develop a career in sales and business operations while being the first point of contact for our customers.

Key responsibilities

• Make outbound calls to prospective and existing customers to promote our new B2B platform.
• Handle inbound sales enquiries, converting leads into confirmed orders.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of product catalogue, pricing and promotions.
• Follow up on abandoned carts, lapsed customers and promotional campaigns.
• Accurately record all customer interactions and sales activity.
• Escalate complex queries or complaints to the appropriate team member.
• Process customer orders, returns and exchanges promptly.
• Assist with stock queries by coordinating with warehouse or fulfilment teams.
• Handle incoming emails and correspondence professionally.
• Support onboarding of new customers with account setup and documentation.

Required profile

• Matric / Grade 12 certificate (essential).
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in sales and customer service with verifiable references.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Strong telephone manner, confident, friendly and professional.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, target‑driven environment.
• High attention to detail, reliable, punctual and a team player.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
