Enterprise Architect

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to shape and govern the technology landscape for our client in Pretoria. You will drive the definition of architecture standards, policies, and governance processes, ensuring that all solutions align with business objectives and strategic vision.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain enterprise architecture standards, policies, and governance frameworks.
• Lead or advise on business solution development to ensure alignment with architectural principles.
• Document and communicate architectural decisions, benefits, and strategic impacts to senior stakeholders.
• Conduct periodic architecture reviews to assess compliance with technology standards.
• Design and present architecture concepts to high‑level committees and project teams.
• Author architecture documentation for projects, outlining goals, constraints, and rationales.
• Facilitate scoping and design sessions across cross‑functional teams and define technical infrastructure designs.
• Perform application portfolio rationalisation and assess solution quality through technical reviews.
• Collaborate on policy development, standards implementation, and stakeholder education.

Required profile

• Proven experience in enterprise architecture, governance, and standards definition.
• Strong ability to translate business imperatives into technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for presenting complex concepts to senior audiences.
• Experience leading cross‑functional design sessions and influencing stakeholders.
