Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary - Critical Care

About the role

Mediclinic Worcester is recruiting one Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary for its critical care unit. The role delivers safe, basic nursing care within the scope of practice, on site, and is a permanent position. Internal employees on fixed-term contracts should apply through an external candidate profile.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Identify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safety
• Assist in creating a therapeutic environment that supports a positive patient experience
• Keep accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions
• Help create a learning environment that builds staff competence
• Ensure all used stock and equipment is accurately charted

Required profile

• Essential: Higher certificate in nursing (or equivalent); no experience required
• Desired: 1 year of post-qualification experience
• Desired: CPD courses in specific specialty areas

Required skills

• Infection prevention and control
• Basic Life Support
• Nursing procedures and patient observation skills
• Risk identification and the scientific nursing process
• Knowledge of the Scope of Practice regulations for nurses and midwives and relevant nursing legislation
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
