Enrolled Nurse – ICU

About the role

We are seeking an Enrolled Nurse to join the Intensive Care Unit at CHM trading as Pelonomi Private Hospital, part of the Netcare Group in Bloemfontein. The role involves providing direct and indirect nursing care to critically ill patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct and indirect nursing care to ICU patients, following care plans initiated by the Registered Nurse.
• Perform patient assessments, implement and evaluate care programmes to ensure high‑quality outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation and medication records.
• Manage stock and assist with file compilation as required.
• Uphold a therapeutic, clean and safe environment, adhering to waste‑management and infection‑control protocols.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to support patient recovery.

Required profile

• Qualified Enrolled Nurse (Nursing diploma) registered with the South African Nursing Council.
• Ability to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and be accountable for personal actions.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, patient‑centred care in a high‑acuity setting.
