Engineering Specialist – Earthmoving Equipment

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Specialist to lead diagnostic and troubleshooting efforts for a fleet of earthmoving machinery. You will provide advanced technical support, conduct detailed machine audits, and act as the primary expert for complex engine and hydraulic system issues.

Key responsibilities

• Perform advanced fault‑finding and troubleshooting on earthmoving equipment.
• Analyse hydraulic and engine systems, including drivetrain components.
• Conduct machine audits, technical inspections, and produce comprehensive reports.
• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and service manuals.
• Support maintenance teams and customers with specialist expertise.
• Travel extensively to service multiple sites as required.

Required profile

• Red Seal Trade Certificate (Diesel Mechanic, Earthmoving Equipment Mechanic, or related trade).
• 10+ years of experience maintaining and diagnosing earthmoving equipment.
• Strong engine, drivetrain, and hydraulic system knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Excellent written communication and report‑writing skills.
