Senior Estimator

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to join a dynamic construction team in Johannesburg and lead the tendering process for high‑value building projects. In this role you will own the estimation and tendering function, delivering accurate costings, competitive bids and supporting successful project acquisitions while collaborating closely with project managers, site teams and senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full estimation and tendering process for building projects, ensuring precise cost calculations and timely submissions.
• Produce competitive bids that align with client requirements and company profitability targets.
• Collaborate with project managers, site teams and senior leadership to integrate estimates into overall project planning and execution.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience tendering on building projects.
• Proven track record of successful estimates and tender submissions.
• Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in CSS (Cato Specialist Software).
• Proficiency in BuildSmart.
