Engineering Operator

About the role

The Engineering Operator will support the Engineering Supervisor in maintaining and repairing public areas, guest rooms, back‑of‑house spaces, plant rooms, and the Marina building of a luxury hotel. The role ensures all facilities and equipment operate safely and efficiently, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Perform repair, maintenance and installation tasks following departmental procedures.
• Install and service TVs, PlayStations and other electronic equipment.
• Test electricity, isolate power supplies and ensure safe electrical work.
• Maintain pumping stations, water tanks, boilers and related accessories.
• Service chillers, freezers, split units, AHUs and fan‑coil units.
• Carry out general guest‑room maintenance including plumbing, electrical fixtures, painting, door locks and hinges.
• Complete work requests promptly, accurately and efficiently.
• Adapt to flexible working hours and multitask across various maintenance requests.
• Use and maintain tools and equipment safely.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Required profile

• Good knowledge of TV, PlayStation and electronic equipment installation.
• Basic ability to test electricity and isolate power.
• Familiarity with pumping stations, water tanks, boilers and related systems.
• Understanding of chillers, freezers, split units, AHUs and fan‑coil units.
• Competence in guest‑room plumbing, electrical work, painting and door hardware.
• Ability to work quickly, accurately and independently.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and handle multiple tasks.
• Self‑starter attitude with decision‑making capability in a fast‑paced environment.
