Employee Benefits Officer – Operations

About the role

The Employee Benefits Officer – Operations will manage the administration and data processes that ensure accurate remuneration and benefits for staff at our Thabazimbi operation. This generalist HR role focuses on employee data hierarchy, new‑hire onboarding, promotions, transfers, terminations and related allowances.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain employee data hierarchy and process changes such as hires, promotions, transfers and terminations.
• Administer allowances, organisational maintenance, shift substitutions and contractor engagements.
• Process leave requests and manage time‑and‑attendance reporting.
• Prepare and submit accurate time‑and‑attendance reports to managers.
• Manage the interface between SAP and the Time & Attendance system, ensuring 24/7 uptime and after‑hours support.
• Conduct system and time‑management audits, resolve data mismatches, and review payslips for over‑ or under‑payments.
• Communicate hardware and software changes to stakeholders and ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of HR data management and remuneration processes.
• Experience working with SAP and time‑and‑attendance systems.
• Ability to perform audits, generate reports and resolve data discrepancies.
• Commitment to safety, health and environmental principles in the workplace.
• Willingness to provide after‑hours support as required.
