Employee Benefits Consultant

About the role

The Employee Benefits Consultant will support an asset management firm’s retail division, ensuring smooth processing of investment instructions and compliance with regulatory requirements. This role demands a detail‑oriented professional who can thrive in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process new investment instructions and manage client onboarding.
• Handle switches, transfers (including Section 14), and withdrawal or claim instructions such as divorce, death, retirement, or resignation.
• Manage estate and late accounts.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, compliance, and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and correct execution of transactions.

Required profile

• Minimum four years of investment administration experience within unit trusts, LISP, retirement, or employee benefits.
• Strong knowledge of FICA, FAIS, FATCA and POPIA regulations.
• Proven track record of accuracy, compliance and operational excellence.
• Client‑focused with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational abilities and capacity to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Working knowledge of FICA, FAIS, FATCA and POPIA.
