Electronic Technician - UPS/Inverter

About the role

PSS Distributors is seeking a self‑motivated Junior Electronic Technician to join its Modderfontein team. You will work with UPS, inverter, solar panel and battery systems, supporting the installation, testing and maintenance of power‑related equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Test and repair electronic equipment, including PCB diagnostics and normal repairs.
• Perform soldering tasks on circuit boards and components.
• Prepare and submit test reports and quotations for customers.
• Commission UPS and inverter systems to ensure proper operation.
• Assist senior technicians with complex installations and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Recent completion of N6 or a national diploma in electronics.
• Clear credit and criminal record.
• Professional, responsible attitude with good leadership and people skills.
• Driver’s licence is an advantage.
