Electrical Site Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Site Manager to lead construction projects for a leading electrical engineering firm in Cape Town. You will oversee daily site operations, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of operational staff on multiple sites.
• Develop detailed project plans, set timelines, allocate resources, and control budgets.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to define and communicate project objectives.
• Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to specifications, industry best practices, and contractual obligations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including permits, daily diaries, and reports.
• Control project costs and generate regular progress reports for management.

Required profile

• National Diploma in Electrical Engineering.
• Electrician Trade Test; Electrical Installation License is highly beneficial.
• Minimum 5 years of site and project management experience in the construction/electrical sector.
• Strong knowledge of JBCC, FIDIC, NEC, and GCC contracts.
• Familiarity with BCEA, LRA, Code of Good Practice, EEA, and OHSA regulations.
• Excellent interpersonal and people‑management abilities.
