Electrical Engineer – Building Services (Senior Technician)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead the design and delivery of building services projects across commercial, residential, retail and industrial sectors. You will be responsible for delivering innovative electrical solutions from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of MV/LV reticulation, lighting, small power, standby power and distribution systems.
• Prepare electrical designs, calculations and technical documentation.
• Coordinate with architects, contractors and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during implementation.
• Ensure compliance with SANS standards, industry regulations and client specifications.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and client relationships.
• Mentor junior engineers and support successful project delivery.

Required profile

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Electrical Building Services Consulting.
• Strong experience designing MV/LV electrical systems, lighting and small power installations.
• Experience on commercial, industrial, retail, healthcare or residential developments.
• BEng or BSc in Engineering; ECSA registration (PrEng or eligible) advantageous.
• South African residency or valid work permit.
