EC&I Engineer – Mining & Mineral Processing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced EC&I Engineer to design, develop and commission electrical, control and instrumentation systems for mineral processing plants. The role will involve working closely with multidisciplinary teams on cutting‑edge mining projects in Gauteng.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop EC&I solutions from concept through to commissioning for mining and mineral processing equipment.
• Prepare technical documentation, electrical schematics and specifications in line with engineering standards.
• Coordinate and support Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) and on‑site commissioning activities.
• Collaborate with project managers, mechanical engineers and stakeholders to ensure timely, on‑budget delivery.
• Travel to project sites as required to oversee installation and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• BEng/BSc/BTech in Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in EC&I engineering within mining, mineral processing or EPC environments.
• Professional registration with ECSA or progress towards registration is advantageous.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and excellent communication skills.
