Duty Manager

About the role

The Duty Manager acts as the operational bridge between Food & Beverage, Accommodation, and Front of House teams during each shift. Reporting to the relevant department heads, you will ensure seamless service delivery and step in to cover any staffing gaps.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily activities across all hotel departments to maintain service standards.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for guests and staff during your shift.
• Handle unexpected issues calmly and efficiently, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Support the Front Office Manager as second‑in‑charge, overseeing front desk operations.
• Maintain accurate paperwork, reports, and administrative records.

Required profile

• Matric certificate.
• Hotel Management qualification or equivalent.
• 1–2 years supervisory or managerial experience (advantageous).
• Hands‑on problem‑solving ability and composure under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and trustworthy character.
• Presentable, well‑spoken, and able to lead by example.
• Effective delegation and teamwork skills.
