Duty Manager - Boutique Hotel

About the role

Karen Tupper Recruitment is advertising a full-time Duty Manager position for a boutique hotel in the Western Cape. The role covers the day-to-day running of the property, including guest services, reservations and housekeeping oversight.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day running of the boutique hotel.
• Manage reservations, bookings and general administration.
• Set up and serve breakfast to guests.
• Coordinate small group conferencing and related arrangements.
• Manage housekeeping operations and conduct regular room and public area inspections.
• Ensure rooms and common areas meet the required standards of cleanliness, presentation and maintenance.
• Handle guest check-ins and check-outs professionally and efficiently.
• Address guest queries and concerns to ensure a positive guest experience.
• Maintain an organised, welcoming and well-run environment.

Required profile

• South African citizen.
• Matric / Grade 12 qualification.
• General experience in guest house, accommodation or hotel management.
• Preferably resides in the Southern Suburbs, close to Rondebosch.
• Own, reliable transport is essential.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
