About the role
Baker Hughes is hiring a Driver to support its Industrial & Energy Technology operations in Midrand, Gauteng. The role covers safe, reliable transportation of equipment and spare parts to customers, combined with logistics, warehouse and administrative duties such as proof of delivery documentation and dispatch assistance.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver equipment and spare parts to customers and verify deliveries with customer representatives on arrival.
- Maintain accurate Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation and delivery records on company spreadsheets.
- Assist with picking, verification and inspection of spare parts and equipment for dispatch, and prepare them for safe transport.
- Operate forklifts and overhead cranes and help with loading and unloading.
- Secure loads on trucks and bakkies and comply with road traffic regulations.
- Liaise with Customer Care and other stakeholders on delivery issues.
- Monitor and coordinate the renewal of vehicle licences and registrations, and carry out daily vehicle inspections.
Required profile
- Valid driver's licence and a valid Professional Driving Permit (PrDP/PDP).
- Experience driving, logistics and dispatch.
- Experience operating trucks and bakkies.
- Experience operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
