Drill Operator

About the role

LG Holdings is seeking a skilled Drill Operator to join its water supply and treatment team in Maputsoe, Lesotho. The role involves hands‑on borehole drilling in dynamic, remote environments, supporting the company’s water infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain drilling rigs safely and efficiently.
• Assess sites and identify suitable locations for borehole drilling.
• Execute borehole drilling using Rotary, DTH, and Mud drilling techniques.
• Diagnose and resolve common drilling issues on‑site.
• Maintain accurate drilling logs and generate reports for project documentation.

Required profile

• Proven field experience with borehole drilling techniques.
• Ability to conduct site assessments and select appropriate drilling locations.
• Basic understanding of geology and borehole construction.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail in record‑keeping.
• Valid EC driver’s licence and willingness to work under pressure in remote locations.
