Draughtsman – Plant Layout & Manufacturing Drawings

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Draughtsman to join our team in Cape Town. You will work closely with Sales, Projects and Service teams to create high‑quality engineering drawings, plant layouts and manufacturing documentation for turnkey projects.

Key responsibilities

• Produce detailed plant layout drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Create manufacturing drawings, Bills of Materials and installation drawings.
• Update and revise drawings throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct site measurements and attend client and project meetings.
• Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Assist with quality inspections to ensure drawing accuracy and compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience with Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
• Experience in machining detailing.
• Previous exposure to the food processing or poultry industry is advantageous.
• Strong planning, organisational and communication abilities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans.
