About the role

Dis‑Chem Pharmacies is offering a Dispensary Support Learnership for individuals eager to start a career in pharmacy. Learners will be employed on a fixed‑term basis while completing the basic pharmacist assistant course and gaining hands‑on experience in a retail pharmacy environment.

Key responsibilities

• Complete the learner basic pharmacist assistant course as part of the learnership.
• Learn and apply the underlying principles of the pharmaceutical environment and dispensing.
• Support daily dispensary operations under supervision, ensuring accurate medication dispensing.
• Uphold quality standards and promote safe dispensing practices throughout the training period.

Required profile

• Able to enrol in and successfully complete the basic pharmacist assistant course.
• Motivated to acquire knowledge of pharmacy operations and dispensing procedures.
• Willing to work in a fixed‑term role until registration with the SAPC as a learner basic assistant.
• Committed to delivering high‑quality service and adhering to safety protocols.
