Director, Product Management

About the role

The Director of Product Management will own the vision and roadmap for multiple proprietary software applications. Working hybrid in Cape Town, you will bridge external client needs and internal stakeholder expectations to bring market‑ready products to life.

Key responsibilities

• Define and evolve product vision and multi‑application roadmap aligned with business goals.
• Gather, prioritize and translate client and stakeholder inputs into clear requirement stories.
• Manage the backlog of requests, ideas and defects, creating actionable tickets for Engineering and QA.
• Serve as Product Owner in agile development cycles, partnering with UX, development, data operations, architecture, QA and IT Project Management.
• Build rapid AI‑driven prototypes to illustrate front‑end designs and user workflows.
• Support cross‑functional readiness through training and certification as new releases launch.
• Conduct competitive analysis of third‑party solutions and generate external‑facing content.
• Assist with RFP/RFI responses and track core usage and business metrics.

Required profile

• 10+ years of product management experience, preferably in software.
• Proven ability to lead strategic product conversations and drive execution independently.
• Strong understanding of buyer personas, market forces and revenue metrics.
• Excellent communication skills to act as the voice of the customer.
