Director of Academic Excellence – Remote

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Director of Academic Excellence. This remote executive role will shape and operationalize evidence‑based learning science across a global network of schools, driving accelerated student outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic structures that translate learning science into curriculum, motivation frameworks, and technology architecture.
• Conduct performance reviews with Heads of Academics to ensure alignment, accountability, and outcome focus.
• Integrate data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and field observations into ecosystem assessments that pinpoint obstacles and prescribe interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback loops, and progress monitoring.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning at senior forums, keynote events, and engagements with Ministries of Education to champion systemic transformation.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Education, Learning Sciences, or a related field.
• Proven track record of building and scaling academic systems that deliver measurable impact.
• Executive accountability experience, with the ability to set performance standards and mentor high‑caliber teams.
• Strong communication skills for public advocacy and stakeholder engagement.
