Director: ICT Governance and Project Management

About the role

The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Health is advertising a Director position covering ICT governance and project management, based at the Head Office in Pietermaritzburg. The successful candidate provides strategic leadership on ICT governance and ensures alignment with departmental and national health priorities, and develops and implements ICT governance frameworks, policies and standards in line with Public Sector rules.

Required profile

• Senior Certificate / Grade 12.
• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field (NQF Level 7).
• Five years' experience in middle/senior management level.
• Proven experience in ICT governance, PMO management and large-scale ICT project implementation.
• Knowledge of PFMA, POPIA, the DPSA CGICT Framework, King IV and public sector regulations.
• An unendorsed valid Code B driver's licence (Code 08).
• Experience in the public sector and/or health environment is an added advantage.

Required skills

• Computer literacy: MS Office software applications.
• Certifications in PMP/PRINCE2, COBIT, ITIL and CGEIT.
