Digital Marketing Specialist – App Store Optimisation (ASO)

About the role

Betway Africa is seeking a data‑driven Digital Marketing Specialist focused on App Store Optimisation (ASO) to own and improve the visibility of its mobile apps across the Apple App Store, Google Play Store and Huawei AppGallery in African markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute ASO strategies to boost app rankings, downloads and conversion rates.
• Optimise titles, descriptions, keywords, screenshots, icons and other creative assets.
• Run A/B tests on store listings and analyse performance data to drive continuous improvement.
• Support app launches, feature releases and promotional campaigns with tailored ASO tactics.
• Conduct competitor analysis and market research to identify trends and opportunities.
• Monitor app performance metrics, produce data‑driven reports and provide recommendations.
• Coordinate with product, marketing, creative teams and external agencies, managing app store accounts and documentation.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in App Store Optimisation or a related digital marketing role.
• Proven track record of implementing ASO strategies that deliver measurable results.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Experience with ASO tools such as AppTweak, Sensor Tower, App Store Connect and Google Play Console.
• Proficiency in data‑visualisation and reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau and Excel.
