Digital and Production Designer

About the role

Our client is looking for a versatile Digital and Production Designer to join their in‑house marketing team in Durban. The role is ideal for a junior to mid‑level designer who can move seamlessly between digital campaigns, social media, website updates, packaging and technical production artwork while maintaining strong brand consistency.

Key responsibilities

• Create digital assets such as web banners, emailers, digital displays and social media content.
• Develop campaign collateral in line with brand guidelines and brief requirements.
• Support the Senior Designer with creative direction and execution.
• Adapt and roll out packaging artwork across multiple products and SKUs.
• Prepare accurate, print‑ready artwork according to specifications, die‑lines and colour requirements.
• Design point‑of‑sale materials, shelf talkers, display units and in‑store signage.
• Typeset and format technical and regulatory documentation, including product inserts and Patient Information Leaflets.
• Conduct detailed proofreading and quality checks to minimise rework.
• Create and manage social media content, assisting with publishing and scheduling.
• Update website content through CMS platforms such as WordPress or Craft.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders and production teams to ensure accurate project delivery.

Required profile

• Highly organised and detail‑oriented with the ability to manage multiple deadlines independently.
• Proactive designer comfortable working without direct traffic coordination.
• Strong understanding of both creative design and production requirements.
• Experience in FMCG, retail, healthcare, pharmaceutical or other regulated environments is advantageous.
