DevOps Engineer – Intermediate (CIT)

About the role

We are looking for an intermediate DevOps Engineer to join an independent unit within a leading financial services group. The role focuses on building, automating and maintaining scalable, secure and reliable systems that support customer integrations and improve the overall experience.

Key responsibilities

• Enhance existing applications and develop new routine applications to meet customer needs.
• Contribute to and maintain the application software roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Analyse digital product performance, customer behaviour and market trends to identify improvement opportunities.
• Produce concepts, prototypes and deliver features within established engineering processes.
• Execute digital marketing plans and support customer and market research activities.
• Perform testing, monitoring, diagnosis and performance correction for web and app services.
• Design troubleshooting procedures, build tools and isolate faults to reduce repeat incidents.

Required profile

• 3‑6 years of experience with Rancher (2.5+), Kubernetes and Linux.
• Hands‑on experience with Azure DevOps and Agile/Scrum environments.
• Up to 1 year of experience supervising junior colleagues.
• Relevant tertiary or postgraduate qualification.
• Innovative, customer‑focused, strong decision‑making and accountability.
• Comfortable working in complex and ambiguous situations, with clear communication and results‑orientation.
