Desktop Support Technician – 3 Positions

About the role

South African Postbank is seeking three Desktop Support Technicians to provide technical assistance to all employees. The role combines remote troubleshooting with on‑site workstation setup, ensuring a reliable IT environment for banking operations.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line desktop support to end users, both remotely and on‑site.
• Configure and deploy workstations, peripherals, and software updates for new and existing staff.
• Maintain and troubleshoot network printers, Active Directory, and Exchange accounts.
• Log and resolve incidents, problems, and change requests through the help‑desk system.
• Assist with IT training sessions and support the rollout of selected IT projects.

Required profile

• Diploma in Information Technology (NQF Level 6) or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months experience in desktop support within a Windows environment.
• Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
• Professional attitude, detail‑oriented and self‑motivated.
