Design Intern – Creative Agency

About the role

VML South Africa is looking for a motivated Design Intern to join its creative team. You will work on real client campaigns across digital, social, print and branding, gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced agency environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in creating visual concepts for digital, social media, print and brand projects.
• Support brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for campaign development.
• Prepare artwork files for production and client presentations.
• Conduct design research and stay updated on current creative trends.
• Revise designs based on feedback while ensuring brand consistency.

Required profile

• Currently studying or recently graduated in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design or a related field.
• Portfolio that demonstrates creative work and design thinking.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and an understanding of design principles, typography and layout.
• Strong attention to detail, good communication skills and a willingness to learn.
