Deputy Manager - Facilities

About the role

WNS South Africa, a Business Process Outsourcing provider with eight delivery centres across the country, is looking for a part-time Deputy Manager - Facilities in Cape Town. The role ensures uninterrupted business operations through a safe and efficient facility environment, manages a site team and leads day-to-day maintenance while overseeing audits, health and safety standards and utilities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee planned, preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance in line with SLAs, and identify and resolve facility risks and equipment faults proactively
• Maintain HSE, quality and risk management systems and drive process improvements for energy efficiency and cost savings
• Supervise and mentor the technical team, including scheduling and performance feedback, and assist with or lead small technical projects
• Act as communication hub, coordinate daily operations, handle supplier relationships and prepare weekly and monthly technical reports
• Keep audit-ready documentation and manage the lifecycle of technical assets and utilities usage and costs
• Standby and respond to emergencies, and work overtime when required

Required profile

• Matric Grade 12, minimum N3 or equivalent, and at least 5 years of experience, preferably in facilities
• Qualified electrician with a Wireman's license and WNS DOL registration
• Driver's licence, own transport and own cellphone
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans
• Preferred: facilities management background, testing electrical installations, HVAC, report writing, regulatory compliance, vendor contracts and staff management
