Demand and Production Planner

About the role

The Demand and Production Planner is a high‑visibility position within the supply‑chain function, responsible for balancing inventory across regions while meeting turnover targets and customer satisfaction goals. The role leads demand planning, collaborates closely with sales and category managers, and ensures production plans are optimal and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the demand planning process and develop a consensus demand plan.
• Coordinate cross‑functional S&OP meetings and drive alignment across the organization.
• Manage supply and production planning to achieve high service levels with optimized inventory.
• Support production scheduling to meet targets and maintain accurate system information.
• Oversee master data, product life‑cycle, and supplier viability analyses.

Required profile

• Tertiary qualification in business, supply‑chain management or operations.
• Minimum 5 years of supply‑chain experience, including demand, supply, procurement, production, logistics or materials management.
• Proven leadership in inventory or demand planning.
• Strong analytical, communication and team‑building abilities.
• Project‑management experience and ability to handle complexity.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with integrated planning software.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• APICS certification (or membership in APICS/SAPICS/CIPS).
• DDI certification.
