Debtors Controller (Accounts Receivable) – Durbanville

About the role

Our client, a leading waste‑management company, is seeking a competent Debtors Controller to join its finance team in Durbanville. The role focuses on managing the accounts receivable function, ensuring invoices are issued promptly, payments are allocated accurately, and financial records are kept up‑to‑date.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the full accounts receivable cycle, including customer set‑up, invoicing, receipting and payment allocation.
• Resolve customer queries and issue monthly statements.
• Produce age‑analysis reports and flag long‑outstanding debts to stakeholders.
• Administer the online EPR declaration system (BanQu), collect fees, and reconcile data with the accounting system.
• Support internal and external audit activities related to AR and EPR declarations.
• Provide regular financial and EPR‑related reports to internal teams.

Required profile

• Numerical and analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines.
• Effective communication and negotiation skills.
• Time‑management orientation and a systematic approach to work.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the BanQu portal for EPR declarations.
• Experience using accounting software for invoicing and payment processing.
