Data Scientist / ML Engineer – Build Data‑Driven Products

About the role

Praelexis is seeking a curious and driven Data Scientist / ML Engineer to dive deep into data, uncover insights and build data‑fuelled products that improve customer outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Advocate and develop data‑driven products and solutions for clients.
• Become an expert on client datasets and provide analytical insights.
• Design and lead iterative learning cycles for data‑science solutions.
• Prototype, develop, and enhance machine‑learning software and models.
• Communicate findings, recommendations and project progress to stakeholders.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and apply them to real‑world problems.

Required profile

• Deep curiosity and a desire to explore complex data.
• Confidence with tools despite uncertainty and ambiguity.
• Meticulous and patient when handling large data sets.
• Strong communication skills for oral and visual presentations.
• Ethical awareness of data privacy concerns.
• Product‑mindset understanding how data science drives business value.

Required skills

• Strong Python programming.
• SQL (any variant) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Design, implementation and evaluation of machine‑learning and predictive models.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, data processing and ETL pipelines.
• 2+ years of relevant experience in data science, data engineering or machine‑learning engineering.
• Understanding of software development life‑cycle, project and client management.
