Data Integration Engineer (Microsoft Fabric)

About the role

Our client is looking for a Data Integration Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Fabric. You will design, build and maintain scalable data pipelines and analytics‑ready assets within the Fabric ecosystem, supporting Power BI reporting, operational analytics and future AI initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and maintain Microsoft Fabric Data Factory pipelines.
• Build ETL/ELT processes for structured and semi‑structured sources such as Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online, SQL databases, Excel/CSV and APIs.
• Implement automated, scheduled data ingestion with incremental loading and change tracking.
• Construct and manage Fabric Lakehouses, Warehouses and OneLake structures, applying Bronze‑Silver‑Gold layer concepts.
• Develop Delta Lake tables, notebooks and transformation logic, and create reusable data assets for reporting.
• Design dimensional models, star schemas and curated datasets for Power BI, supporting semantic model optimisation.
• Document data definitions, lineage and business rules, and embed validation and reconciliation checks.
• Apply access controls, workspace security and support data‑governance activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Data Factory pipelines.
• Hands‑on experience integrating Dynamics 365, SharePoint Online, SQL databases and API‑based sources.
• Understanding of data‑lake architecture, Delta Lake and OneLake concepts.
• Ability to translate business reporting requirements into technical data models.
