Data Analyst & Route Planner

About the role

Compass Medical Waste Services is looking for a motivated professional to combine data analysis with route planning. In this dual‑role you will turn raw data into actionable insights while ensuring daily transport routes are efficient, cost‑effective, and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, analyse, and interpret operational data to support business decisions.
• Transform raw data into clear reports that highlight trends, patterns and anomalies.
• Identify opportunities to improve performance and operational efficiency.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate daily transport routes using mapping and routing software.
• Allocate vehicles and drivers based on demand and operational needs.
• Monitor route performance, adjust plans and implement improvements.
• Communicate with drivers, supervisors and customers to resolve issues promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years experience in administration, route planning or data analysis.
• Strong computer literacy with a good understanding of maps, geographic systems, tracking programmes and route‑planning applications.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Fast learner who can think outside the box.
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities.
