Data Analyst – Financial Analytics

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Data Analyst with a strong finance background to transform complex financial data into actionable business insights. You will join a leading financial analytics organisation and support data‑driven decision‑making across the company.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, cleanse, validate, and organise data from multiple sources while maintaining data quality and governance.
• Maintain and enhance databases, data warehouses, and data systems.
• Analyse large financial datasets to identify trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.
• Develop actionable insights and recommendations for strategic decisions.
• Design, develop, and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualisations for stakeholders.
• Present findings clearly to both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Collaborate with finance, business, and technology teams to implement data‑driven solutions.
• Identify and drive continuous improvements in reporting processes and data quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience as a Data Analyst in financial services, banking, investment, insurance, or a related sector.
• Proven experience working with large datasets and financial reporting environments.

Required skills

• Strong SQL for querying and managing data.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R for analysis and automation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualisation tools.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric (data engineering, integration, reporting, analytics).
• Familiarity with financial databases, data warehouses, and cloud‑based data platforms.
