Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Developer – 3-Month Contract

About the role

Our client is looking for an experienced Data Analyst / Business Intelligence Developer to join the team on a three‑month contract in Johannesburg. The role focuses on building scalable reporting solutions, optimising data environments and turning complex data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Business Intelligence solutions and reporting platforms.
• Create dashboards, reports and analytical models to support decision‑making.
• Design and optimise ETL processes and data pipelines.
• Develop and maintain robust data models and data warehouse solutions.
• Gather business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency and quality across reporting environments.
• Optimise BI platforms for performance, scalability and usability.
• Deploy, maintain and support BI solutions throughout their lifecycle.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality data solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics or a related field.
• Proven experience as a BI Developer or in a similar technical role delivering end‑to‑end BI solutions.
• Strong understanding of database management and data‑warehousing concepts.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate are advantageous.
