Data & AI Recruiter – Remote (South Africa)

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Data & AI Recruiter to join a specialist recruitment business that partners with Databricks. Working remotely from South Africa, you will support the UK market by sourcing and engaging top data talent.

Key responsibilities

• Source and engage Data Engineers, Data Analysts, Data Architects and Data Consultants.
• Manage candidates from outreach through submission, interview preparation, feedback and pre‑close.
• Build and maintain high‑quality talent pools to accelerate delivery across multiple roles.
• Develop trusted relationships with hiring managers and clients.
• Identify commercial leads during candidate conversations and flag new opportunities to the sales team.
• Work towards Databricks certification to deepen market expertise.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of recruitment delivery experience.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong record of candidate and client satisfaction.
• Self‑motivated and comfortable managing your own desk in a fully remote environment.
• Curious, commercially minded and able to spot opportunities while speaking with candidates.

Required skills

• Experience recruiting within the Data ecosystem (Databricks, Azure, AWS, GCP, Fabric, Snowflake).
• Familiarity with recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Recruiter, JobServe or Bullhorn.
