Cybersecurity Analyst

About the role

We are looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst to strengthen the security posture of Aculocity’s global infrastructure, manufacturing, and software development operations. Based in South Africa with remote flexibility, you will work closely with our U.S.-based Infrastructure and Security team to monitor, investigate, and respond to security incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Continuously monitor and analyze security alerts using Microsoft Defender and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Investigate incidents, assess business impact, and coordinate response and remediation actions.
• Develop custom Sentinel detection rules, playbooks and automation to improve detection and response capabilities.
• Implement and maintain security controls across cloud and on-premises environments, administering Microsoft security tools such as Defender for Endpoint, Identity, Cloud, and Entra ID (Azure AD).
• Conduct periodic assessments and support compliance initiatives aligned with NIST, ISO 27001 and GDPR.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure secure day-to-day operations and promote a security-first culture.
• Assist in the creation and maintenance of cybersecurity policies, standards and post-incident reviews.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, SOC operations or a related IT security role.
• Formal degree not required if you hold recognized certifications or have strong hands‑on experience.
