Cyber Security Specialist (Microsoft & Fortinet)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Cyber Security Specialist to join a high‑performing IT Security team in Centurion. The role focuses on managing Microsoft security solutions, Fortinet firewalls, Varonis data protection and overall security operations.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and optimise the Microsoft Security ecosystem (Defender XDR, Entra ID, Purview, Intune, MFA, Security Copilot).
• Configure, manage and tune FortiGate firewalls and FortiClient VPN.
• Support ManageEngine tools including ADManager, ServiceDesk and Endpoint Central.
• Monitor and maintain Varonis Data Security for discovery, classification, threat detection and compliance.
• Review SOC and SIEM alerts, drive remediation and incident response.
• Implement vulnerability assessments, patch management, access controls and overall security monitoring.
• Provide firewall, antivirus, domain and network security architecture support.
• Prepare security reports, governance documentation and audit evidence.
• Develop and enforce cybersecurity standards, procedures and best practices.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, application and security teams on secure solution delivery.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, security operations or infrastructure security.
• Relevant IT diploma or degree (advantageous).
• Microsoft security certification such as SC‑200, SC‑300, SC‑400 or equivalent.
