Cyber Security Analyst

About the role

Capitec is seeking a proactive Cyber Security Analyst to join its Cyber Security team. You will help protect the bank’s digital assets, systems and data from evolving threats while ensuring confidentiality, integrity and availability of information.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Cyber Security team in monitoring, detecting and responding to security incidents.
• Apply analytical and technical knowledge to safeguard digital assets and maintain resilient security controls.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams using Agile and DevOps practices to embed security into development cycles.
• Conduct cyber threat intelligence gathering and contribute to incident response processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Information Security.
• 1‑2 years of experience in Security Incident Response and advanced threat mitigation.
• Experience in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment, preferably within financial services or banking.
• Clear criminal and credit record.
• Grade 12 or equivalent; a tertiary qualification in IT or Computer Science is preferred.
